Mayhem, now I know why I picked this name. So fitting

Is it just me or do other women have a total melt down when their husbands are gone for a long period of time? Matt has been working 18 hour days for the past few weeks with his uncle. Don't get me wrong here. I totally support his commitment and responsibility, but here on the home front things seem to escalate to a higher degree when it is just me holding down the fort. Kids get sick, house is a wreck, Halloween parties, homework, Young women's stuff, family obligations. Okay I am just complaining. I miss my husband. I just want to be able to sit down and have a normal conversation with him and look into his gorgeous brown eyes and not have to deal with the phone!! I do love my kids dearly, but these past couple of weeks I really do know why 2 parents are needed to raise and rear a family. Can't wait to see you again babe, hurry home!

Seriously...I'd have a meltdown if Preston didn't show up every night after work - and I only have 1 child!

I understand. It is really hard. Mark works long hours also, he works at least 12 hour days if not more. He went about four days one time without even seeing Ava. It can get really hard. Although we as wives are supportive it still does not make it easy. It all works out and I will be thinking of you.

Thanks Melissa!
Thank goodness there is an end somewhere in sight.

Oh Jen, that is so hard! It is no fun to have to juggle everything by yourself. That's how Thursdays are in our house. Ryan says goodnight to the girls on Wednesday night and usually doesn't see them again until Friday after school. Hurry home Matt!!!

Welcome to my world! It makes me feel better to hear you.....I have said those very things many times. I tell everyone I'm mostly a single Mom. Occasionally their Dad stops by to say hey. Seriously though, I'd rather be married to a honest, hard working man, than some of the bums that are out there that refuse to work. It is VERY hard though and it's ok to vent and have occasional meltdowns!

Thanks CARA!
Your blog is so cute. Good to hear that the tumor is benign. Thank goodness Matt has slowed it down a bit for now and back to daylight hours. :) Good to hear from you!
